The launch of Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 took place in Ho Chi Minh City with the presence of Anne Jakrajutatip, CEO of Miss Universe Organization, and reigning Miss Universe 2024, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig. The event set a clear ambition: bringing Vietnam into the Top 5 at the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand.

Speaking at the ceremony, Valentin Tran, President of Miss Universe Vietnam, emphasized the aspiration to elevate Vietnamese beauty on the global map: "I have a specific dream - Miss Universe Vietnam will once again achieve a peak performance like H'Hen Nie did eight years ago."
The event featured Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, who made a strong comeback in 2024 after a three-year hiatus by securing a spot in the Top 30 and placing among the Top 3 for Best National Costume.
Anne Jakrajutatip praised the professionalism of the organizing committee and expressed high hopes for Vietnam's representative: "I hope Vietnam will once again deliver a proud achievement and break into the global Top 5."
"Miss Universe Vietnam is truly elevating Vietnam’s status on the global beauty map. I once spoke about the three Ps that build a powerful Miss Universe: Pageant, Platform, and Products. But when I met Miss Universe Vietnam, I discovered a fourth P — People. It is the people who have made your extraordinary success possible," she shared.
Huong Ly, runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 and now National Director of Miss Universe Vietnam, announced the timeline for this year’s competition: the online selection round starts April 18, followed by the in-person preliminary round on May 17. The semi-final is scheduled for July 16 and the national final on July 19.
Contestants will have the opportunity to receive early training and coaching in the lead-up to the semi-final and final events.
