A close look at Vietnamese PM’s Cambodia visit in photos
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh paid an official visit to Cambodia on November 8-9 at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport on November 8, beginning a two-day official visit to Cambodia and attending the ASEAN summits and related meetings from November 10-13.
This is Chinh’s first official visit to Cambodia as Prime Minister of Vietnam, and it is also the first visit of a key Vietnamese leader to Cambodia during the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Year 2022.

PM Hun Sen hosts a welcoming ceremony for PM Chinh on November 8 morning. In the photo, the two PMs review the guard of honour during the ceremony.
Shortly after the ceremony, the two PMs hold talks on measures to strengthen the Vietnam – Cambodia relations.
They both agree to further strengthen Vietnam – Cambodia defense and security cooperation, emphasizing that they would not allow any hostile forces to use the territory of the one country to harm security and interests of the other country.
They then witness the signing of 11 cooperation documents between the two countries’ ministries, agencies and localities.
In the afternoon, PM Chinh meets with Cambodia National AAssembly President Heng Samrin.
The two leaders agree Vietnam and Cambodia will make continued efforts to deepen the good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, and comprehensive cooperation, for the sake of their peoples.
PM Chinh also pays a courtesy visit to King Norodom Sihamoni.

On November 9 PM Chinh visits Cho Ray - Phnom Penh Hospital - a symbol of the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
He also calls at the headquarters of Viettel Cambodia, a member of the Vietnam Military Telecommunication and Industry Corporation (Viettel).
The same day, PM Chinh receives Men Sam An, deputy Prime Minister, deputy head of the Cambodian People’s Party, and president of the Cambodia - Vietnam Friendship Association.
He also calls at the Vietnamese Embassy headquarters in Phnom Penh to meet the embassy’s officials and representatives of Vietnamese businesses and expatriates in Cambodia.
Following the visit, Vietnam and Cambodia release a 16-point joint statement in which they agree to respect each other’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, not to interfere in each other’s internal affairs, and to settle all issues arising by peaceful means.
