VietNamNet Bridge – Doctors of the Da Nang Obstetrics - Pediatric Hospital has saved a boy from the central province of Quang Ngai with over 100 stings from hornets.

The hospital’s deputy director - Dr. Le Thi Thanh Xuan said the patient – named Hoang Van Sang, 8, a resident of Tu Nghia District, Quang Ngai was transferred from the Da Nang Obstetrics Hospital to the Da Nang Obstetrics – Pediatrics Hospital at night of February 13 with a lot of bee stings on his head, ears and belly.
The patient was in a panic, the whole body was with edema, and suffered from liver failure.
Doctors urgently performed emergency techniques and blood filtering to save the boy.
After 48 hours of continuous hemodialysis, the patients gradually showed signs of recovery and the edema gradually disappeared. By noon February 18, the boy was no longer in a panic and could urinate.
According to the patient's family, at noon on February 13, the boy went out with his friends. Then he ran home, followed by hundreds of hornets. They even got into his ears to sting. With severe injuries, the family had to move the boy from Quang Ngai to Da Nang for treatment.
