On the morning of April 14, the Dak Nong Provincial Traffic Police Department reported that it had coordinated with other agencies to inspect and issue citations to 78 individuals who committed various violations while taking photos at a pine hill area in Nam N’Jang commune, Dak Song district.
The offenses included operating vehicles under the legal age, illegally modifying vehicle frames, shapes, sizes, and features, lacking driver's licenses, lacking vehicle registration certificates, and not having license plates.
Authorities seized all 78 vehicles and conducted alcohol and drug tests on each individual. One tested positive for alcohol.
Previously, the traffic police had noted that groups of young people had been frequently gathering at the pine hills in Dak Song district early in the morning to "hunt clouds" - a popular local trend of capturing foggy sunrise photos.
During these excursions, some youths were seen riding motorcycles recklessly, weaving through traffic, revving engines loudly, and exhibiting behaviors that threatened public order and suggested the potential for illegal street racing.
