The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MOLISA) continues to review, assess, and evaluate the minimum living standards of workers and the consumer price index to propose and recommend suitable regional minimum wage plans to the Government.

MOLISA has issued a plan to implement various tasks and solutions to prevent and minimize collective labor disputes and strikes, contributing to maintaining social security and order.

To achieve this, MOLISA will guide, support, and promote dialogue and collective bargaining activities at enterprises, sectoral levels, and business groups to create a stable labor relations environment.

Simultaneously, it will monitor, update, cross-check, and report on labor disputes and strikes; propose and support the implementation of measures to address arising incidents to stabilize the situation promptly.

Another solution MOLISA considers is improving the effectiveness of labor dispute resolution mechanisms, including labor conciliators and labor arbitration councils, to ensure labor disputes and strikes are resolved according to regulations.

Regarding legal policy development, MOLISA will continue its role as a member of the National Wage Council to review, assess, and evaluate the minimum living standards of workers and their families concerning market wages and the consumer price index.

This serves as the basis for proposing and recommending suitable regional minimum wage plans to the Government. It also ensures timely communication and dissemination of wage policies for workers in the enterprise sector.

Effective July 1, 2024, the Government has adjusted the monthly minimum wage by 6%, with the following rates:

Region 1: 4.96 million VND
Region 2: 4.41 million VND
Region 3: 3.86 million VND
Region 4: 3.45 million VND.
