After the success of the project to appoint 600 young intellectuals as vice chairs of poor communes in the remote areas, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the project to select young intellectuals who volunteer to work in the remote and mountainous regions in the period of 2013-2020.
Accordingly, by 2015, the recruitment will be completed.
These people will be appointed to appropriate positions, based on the needs of each commune, to help the local government develop economics, reduce poverty, and build new rural areas.
The subject of this project is Vietnamese people of less than 30, who have a university degree or higher in accordance with the specialized requirements and volunteer to work in disadvantaged areas.
The duration of work in particularly difficult and mountainous areas is at least five years. If the member quits the job early, he will have to pay compensation for the state.
The project members after completion of the task will be considered by the authorized agency to recognize as officials or civil servants at the commune or district level based on qualifications, ethics and performance of services.
In addition, they will be given priority for postgraduate training and assisted by the local government in terms of job, housing conditions and other allowances.
In 2013, the project will be kicked off to recruit 300 people for training and using in 2014. The remaining 200 people will be recruited, trained and assigned in 2015.
