For two electrifying hours, the “Nha Tre” crew from Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai captivated an audience of 5,000 Vietnamese expatriates during the 8th Vietnam Cultural Festival in Osaka, Japan.

In true “Nha Tre never walks alone” spirit, this marked the group’s first international show together since the program ended. The star-studded lineup - Tien Dat, Tien Luat, Binz, Quoc Thien, Rhymastic, Ha Le, and Duy Khanh - brought a series of powerful performances, including “Thu hoai,” “Lang,” “Dao lieu,” “Think of You,” “Ngay mai nguoi ta lay chong,” and the timeless classic “Diem xua.”

Fans from across Japan flocked to Sakai City Hall, eager to sing along with their idols. Many made five-hour journeys to attend, while some even flew from Vietnam to support their favorite artists.

Quoc Thien shared, “To perform in Osaka for fellow Vietnamese is an emotional experience. Although it’s cold in Japan right now, the warmth of everyone’s cheers made us feel at home.”

The chemistry between Tien Luat and Binz lit up the stage, as they exchanged jokes with seamless timing. During the show, Binz continued to refer to Tien Luat as his “mentor,” a nod to their bond formed on the show. Ha Le moved the crowd with a heartfelt rendition of “Diem xua,” while youngest member Duy Khanh proved his star power, drawing fans who traveled from Tokyo, South Korea, and even Vietnam just to see him live.

Rhymastic and Quoc Thien were beloved by the Vietnamese community in Osaka for their strong vocals and infectious enthusiasm. Veteran rapper Tien Dat delivered an energetic performance of “Chi Pheo – Vui cung Mr.D,” showing why he remains a fan favorite.

A true highlight of the night was the group's rendition of “Noi vong tay lon,” which brought the crowd to its feet. Audience members sang along, describing the moment as a mini revival of the Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai concert experience.

Before the show, the artists and audience gathered together to form a human map of Vietnam, proudly singing the national anthem. Representing the group, Tien Dat and Tien Luat expressed deep gratitude to the Vietnamese consulate and the thousands of overseas Vietnamese in Japan for their warm welcome.

Nguyen Trinh Ha, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Le Thuong, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Association in Osaka, presented certificates of merit to each artist for their contributions to cultural exchange efforts.
