VietNamNet Bridge – The exhibition of documents related to the sovereignty of Vietnam to the Hoang Sa Archipelago (Paracels) attracted more than 1,200 foreign visitors, including nearly 300 Chinese.

The Hoang Sa Island District (Da Nang) has announced the results of the exhibition of the documents related to Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa islands, which was held in Da Nang Museum from January 20 to February 20.

This is the first time the island district is holding such a big exhibition on marine and island sovereignty, attracting thousands of people.

The exhibition introduces some key documents: the data on Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa island district, Da Nang city; ancient maps and atlas collected by Mr. Tran Thang (Vietnamese American), which show that China’s southern-most is Hainan Island; scientific research works on the Paracel Islands of Vietnam through archives of the Republic of Vietnam regime (1954-1975) ...

Mr. Dang Cong Ngu, chairman of Hoang Sa district, said that nearly 300 Chinese, over 300 Korean, nearly 100 Japanese and nearly 500 European people visited the exhibition.

Ngu also conveyed thanks to Mr. Tran Thang (Vietnamese Americans), who collected hundreds of historical maps proving Vietnam's sovereignty over the Paracels and dedicated them to Da Nang.

Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, deputy director of the Da Nang Museum, said many Korean visitors after reviewing documents and evidences proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Paracel Islands expressed their agreement in the visitors’ book.
