The event is organized by the Global Vietnam-Japan Cultural Promotion Organization (VJCP) and reputable associations within the Vietnamese community in Japan.

One of the most significant highlights of the festival is the "Ten Thousand National Flags Waving" campaign, launched by the organizing committee.

This initiative has sparked a wave of pride and excitement among the Vietnamese diaspora living, studying, and working in Japan, as well as among international friends present in the country.

According to Do Hai Khoi, Chairman of VJCP and Head of the Organizing Committee, the festival has received substantial attention and support from the government of Higashiosaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, ever since the concept was proposed in late 2024.

Regarding the decision to hold the event at the beginning of May, Khoi explained that this period coincides with Japan’s Golden Week, the country's largest holiday of the year.

Many Vietnamese workers will be on break, allowing them the opportunity to participate, express their patriotism, and honor the sacrifices of past generations who fought for national unity.

The festival aims to foster a greater sense of responsibility among the Vietnamese community in building and protecting the homeland.

Director Huy Lio, the production director and chief organizer of the festival, noted that besides performances from two renowned Vietnamese artists from both northern and southern regions, the event will feature numerous artists from Vietnam and international arts organizations in Japan.

The highlight of the festival will be the grand "Ten Thousand National Flags Waving" campaign. As part of the initiative, the organizing committee transported 10,000 Vietnamese flags to Japan in March 2025, which will be distributed free of charge to spectators attending the event.

Director Huy Lio emphasized that the emotional sight of 50 national flags flying during the Spring Homeland - Vietnamese Heart event earlier this year in Japan inspired the organizing committee to realize a grander vision for this historic occasion.
